Creating high-end and impressionist figurative sculpture celebrating music, movement and moments. A sculptor of many years, his work displays a combination of excitement, subtle drama, and expressive sensual energy. Satchell often says his intent is to show a captured moment or a feeling about such a moment.
With an eye on artistic excellence, Satchell has a consuming passion for the work he produces. He maintains an unrelenting dedication to the quality and integrity of his work. The process used to create each piece is called Cold Cast. After the piece is sculpted in clay, he encases it in silicone rubber mold(s) which is then supported by a fiberglass rigid mold. After completing the encasement, the mold segments are separated. The original clay piece is removed. After removal, the mold is reassembled and banded. |
